Yoi Yoi Gion: Reviews & Ratings
The udon noodle is very good and bouncy!! Sadly it’s quite pricy for me but very authentic Japanese food
The udon here is absolutely fantastic, in a restaurant that seems to me to be very authentic. It has a nice feel to it and the tables aren't really close together. You get a lot of space when dining here which is nice and usually not common. The service was great as well.
Authentic Japanese taste. Recommended trying the karaage (deep fried chicken) as well!

Nestled in the vibrant heart of L'Eixample, Barcelona, Yoi Yoi Gion offers an authentic taste of Japanese cuisine that invites diners on a comforting culinary journey. This cozy yet spacious eatery stands out for its well-spread tables, ensuring a relaxing atmosphere free from the cramped feel typical of many traditional Japanese restaurants. The ambiance complements the meticulously crafted dishes, delivering both flavor and a sense of ease.
The udon here is a highlight—bouncy and perfectly textured, it captures the essence of traditional Japanese noodle-making. Diners repeatedly praise its finesse, with each slurp embodying a balance of hearty and delicate flavors. Equally notable is the Niku Don, a generous bowl of tender beef drenched in a savory, well-seasoned gravy that satisfies cravings without overwhelming the palate. The family of rice bowls continues with the crisp Tempura Don, a delightful contrast of crunchy tempura atop steamed rice.
For those seeking bites beyond noodles and rice, the karaage stands out as a must-try. These deep-fried chicken pieces boast a golden crust and juicy interior, perfectly seasoned to complement the meal. The thoughtful menu also features desserts like matcha mochi, which offers a subtle, refined sweetness to round off the dining experience.

While some may find the pricing a touch on the higher side, the genuine taste and the generous portions justify the splurge.
